Central Gateway Unit

CGU is the centralized communication router, data manager, and security guard in the vehicle. On the communication front, CGU manages the in-vehicle network and external connectivity. Particularly, CGU controls the in-vehicle CAN gateway and the ethernet backbone. CGU also manages the connection with the cloud including routing, access control, QoS, etc. On the data side, CGU controls the data collection from various data inputs, such as CAN signals, DTC, GNSS, etc. It is also responsible to transmit the captured data to the cloud.
